Day1: Staying at Cozy B&B and Watching Aurora Borealis

We will pick you up at the airport. After a brief stop at the grocery store, we'll head to the B&B and check in.
During the orientation, we will explain how to see the aurora such as the direction and time it usually appears as well as how to photograph it. Feel free to ask your guide any photo related questions you may have so that you can capture the best possible shots of the aurora.

After the tNt guide leaves, relax at the B&B and enjoy your own time. It might be best to take a quick nap to reserve energy for aurora viewing at night! At dinner time, cook your own dinner in the B&B's beautiful and spacious kitchen or arrange to have dinner made by one of the B&B's chefs
(※Advance arrangement is necessary to have dinner cooked by the chef at B&B. Menu and Price varies depending on what is available at the time. )

At night time, get ready for viewing the aurora borealis! The Aurora usually appears at around 23:00-2:00am, so you could maximize the chance of seeing it by staying alert and watching the sky during those hours. Since this is self-viewing aurora experience, you could stay awake as long as you want and possibly see the aurora after everyone goes to sleep around 4 or 5 am! For aurora photography, a tripod and a camera with a long shutter speed setting is a must. To learn more about aurora viewing and photography, please go to this. For more info about aurora viewing and photography
(※For those who want to enjoy an outdoor fire, hot drinks and snacks, while aurora viewing, it is possible to have this arranged by the B&B staff for your for an extra charge. Please let us know in advance if you would like this service.)

If you are a photo enthusiast who wants to take beautiful aurora shots or simply want to have an expert guide take you to see the aurora at other locations, then tNt can provide an aurora hunting/photography tour for you. The advantage of this option is that you can move around depending on the weather/aurora forecast to maximize the chance of seeing the northern lights.

After having a nice breakfast at the B&B, your tNt guide will pick you up to drive you to downtown Whitehorse, the capital city of the Yukon. We will give you information about where to go and what to do in this charming city. After a few hours of exploring the town on your own, we will pick you up again.

After returning to the B&B, You'll have time to relax again before dinner. Either cook your own meal or pre-arrange to have it prepared by the B&B staff.

Enjoy your 2nd night of aurora viewing. When the sky is clear, a glow of light appears in the Northern direction. Don't miss the early signs of the aurora appearing as it initially looks faint and white and then gets stronger and the lights turns green or other colors! After dinner, get ready for another night of aurora viewing. This will be your last chance to see the aurora borealis. With the previous two nights of aurora viewing under your belt, you will probably have got a hang of how to view and take photos of the northern lights, as locals like to call them. Every night, the condition to be able to see aurora is different. When it shows up, the shape and color could be very different as well. So even if you have seen the lights in the last two nights, it is worth staying up if the sky is clear and the aurora forecast is promising! Again, if you would like to hire a tNt guide to take you aurora viewing to a different site, please let us know and we will be happy to guide you.
